Free Legal Consultation on Labor Law Held at the Student Legal Clinic of Al-Farabi KazNU

As part of its commitment to social responsibility and practice-oriented legal education, the Department of Customs, Financial and Environmental Law of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University organized a free legal consultation session for the university’s technical staff within the framework of the Student Legal Clinic.

The event was attended by the Head of the Department, Doctor of Law, Professor G.A. Kuanaliyeva; Deputy Head for Research, Innovation and International Relations, PhD G.K. Rasheva; Deputy Head for Educational and Upbringing Work, PhD E.S. Kuandykova; as well as Senior Lecturer D.A. Bakirov.

During the consultation, university technical employees received practical and relevant information on their labor rights and obligations, employment contracts, working hours and leave, salary payment procedures, labor disputes, and mechanisms for their resolution. Participants were able to ask their personal legal questions and receive direct answers from professional legal experts.

This initiative reflects the university’s model of combining academic knowledge with real-world legal practice and serves as a vivid example of KazNU’s legal clinic in action. It also plays a key role in enhancing legal literacy and promoting legal awareness among socially vulnerable groups.

This activity further strengthens KazNU’s efforts in the field of human rights protection and legal education.
