“The Future Starts with Us: Artificial Intelligence and Youth”

May 2nd, 2025, the Department of Pre-University Preparation organized an educational session titled “The Future Starts with Us: Artificial Intelligence and Youth” with students of Group 30, as part of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 9.

The main objective of the event was to introduce students to the concept of artificial intelligence (AI), explore its role in today’s world, and discuss both its opportunities and potential risks.

The session was held in an interactive format. Students were introduced to modern AI tools such as ChatGPT, Midjourney, and Runway. They were then divided into groups for a mini-discussion on the topic “How can AI change the lives of young people?”

Students also wrote short essays on the topic “AI – an opportunity or a threat?” and shared their thoughts during the session.

The discussion revealed strong engagement and curiosity from the students. Many of them viewed AI as a future opportunity and emphasized the importance of ethical and responsible use.

This event helped enhance students’ digital literacy and critical thinking, while also fostering meaningful dialogue on the social and moral dimensions of artificial intelligence.
