"CURRENT ISSUES OF JUDICIAL PROCEEDINGS AND NEW TRENDS IN LAW ENFORCEMENT PRACTICE"

On May 02, 2025, an international scientific and practical conference on "CURRENT ISSUES OF JUDICIAL PROCEEDINGS AND NEW TRENDS IN LAW ENFORCEMENT PRACTICE" was held, dedicated to the scientific and pedagogical activities of Candidate of Law, Professor Z. K. Abdullina, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Faculty of Law of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The event was organized by the Department of Civil Law, Civil Procedure and Labor Law. 

The conference is expected to discuss the following issues:

- improvement of civil procedure law as a factor of increasing the efficiency of the administration of justice in civil cases;

- opportunities and risks of using artificial intelligence in judicial activities;

- development of alternative dispute resolution methods in civil proceedings: Kazakhstan and foreign experience;

- actual problems of teaching civil procedure law.

Welcoming remarks were made by Dean of the Faculty of Law U. A. Akhatov, Head of the Department of Civil Law, Civil Procedure and Labor Law, Professor S. Zh. Suleimenova.

The conference was also attended by: Zhatkanbayeva A. E.-Judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Osmanova D. B.-Candidate of Law, Associate Professor, Kapsalyamova S. S.-Candidate of Law, Associate Professor of Akteniz University (Ankara, Turkia), Abaydeldinov T. M.,-Candidateof Law, Associate Professor, Akhmedova F.A.. - Tashkent State Law University and others.

Professor A. S. Ibraeva noted in her speech :" It is very great that you honor the memory of our teachers. This is very important! And the fact that the conference was named after Professor Z. K. Abdullina is correct! Zufnun Kadyrovna Abdullina was a leading scholar on civil procedure. Z. K. Abdullina's scientific and pedagogical activity was highly appreciated by the state: the medal "For Valiant Labor in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of V. I. Lenin"; the Certificate of the Supreme Soviet of the Kazakh SSR – for participation in the preparation of the Civil Procedure Code of the Kazakh SSR (1964); the Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Kazakh SSR and the Republican Trade Union Committee employees of education, higher education and scientific institutions; Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Justice of the Kazakh SSR; medal " Veteran of Labor "(1985); Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of National Education of the Kazakh SSR (1989); and was repeatedly encouraged by the leadership of our University with commendations."

Meaningful speech by Professor S. K. Atakhanova about the teacher, mentor, and huge contribution to the development of academic education and science: "Zufnun Kadyrovna combined her work with social and scientific activities. She was twice elected deputy of the district Council of People's Deputies of the Sovetsky district of Alma-Ata (1967-1969, 1969-1971). She was repeatedly elected Deputy chairman of the precinct election commission. She was a member of the Scientific Advisory Council of the Supreme Court of the Kazakh SSR. Participated in the development of the project of the State Industrial Complex of the Kazakh SSR".

At the end of this event, the participants discussed the final resolutions on improving civil procedure law, developing alternative dispute resolution methods in civil proceedings and digital mediation.
