As part of the "Partnership for Sustainable Development" clause of the SDG project, an Iranian delegation visited the Faculty of Oriental Studies

On May 2, 2025, the Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs of Allameh Tabataba’i University, Ms. Mandana Tisheyar, and the Deputy Director of the National Library of Iran, Mr. Morteza Nouri, paid an official visit to the Faculty of Oriental Studies.
Ms. Tisheyar and Mr. Nouri met with the faculty of the Department of the Middle East and South Asia. During the meeting, issues of scientific cooperation between the two universities were discussed.
Ms. Tisheyar announced the concept of a scientific and educational journal titled Nowruz, to be co-published by KazNU and Tabataba’i University in the field of humanities, and presented its concept. She emphasized that the journal is planned to be issued regularly starting from the next academic year.
The publication will feature articles by scholars from both universities and other institutions in two languages — Kazakh and Persian.
During the visit, Mr. Nouri gave a special presentation, providing an in-depth overview of the history, book collection, and digital capabilities of the National Library of Iran. He expressed his readiness to supply Persian-language literature necessary for students and teachers to enrich the book fund of the Department of the Middle East and South Asia.
The meeting was held in a warm and meaningful atmosphere. Both sides noted their intention to carry out joint work focused on concrete results in the future.
