On April 29–30, the annual National Student Entrepreneurship Cup “ENACTUS KAZAKHSTAN NATIONAL EXPO 2025” was held in Astana. The event brought together school students, college and university students from across the country, as well as leaders in business and education. The championship united talented young people from various regions who want to turn their ideas into real business projects.
A distinctive feature of this year’s National Cup is that it was held on the eve of the 30th anniversary of “Enactus Kazakhstan.” Albina Meirbekovna Erzhanova, President of “Enactus Kazakhstan,” has made an immense contribution to the development of student business projects. The vibrant atmosphere at the National Cup and the projects aimed at achieving sustainable development goals inspired every participant. Students from all corners of the country presented their projects and shared their experiences.
“ENACTUS” (known as SIFE until 2012) is an international non-profit organization focused on youth entrepreneurship. An Enactus project is an entrepreneurial initiative implemented by a team of students with support from advisors, and it aims to address significant economic, social, and environmental issues.
The “ENACTUS KazNU” team from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University took part in the National Cup, led by team advisor L.A. Bimendieva and team captain Mamen Suleymen. At the main competition platform, where university student teams competed for a chance to participate in the “Enactus World Cup 2025,” the university’s team confidently presented their project, showcasing a high level of preparation, creativity, and teamwork, and won second place.
It is worth noting that in 2024, the team became the champion of the “Early Stage League” competition for developing projects and participated in the “Enactus World Cup 2024.” We express our sincere gratitude to the university administration for their consistent support, which has played a vital role in the team’s success.
The “ENACTUS KazNU” student team presented the innovative “Asyl Zher” project, aimed at addressing a relevant social issue. The jury highly appreciated not only the uniqueness of the idea but also the well-developed business plan, marketing, and financial strategy. The second-place award at the National Cup became a well-deserved recognition of their hard work and commitment to changing the world for the better.
