SDG-4: A Meeting of Students majoring in Kazakh Philology and Future Law Enforcement Officers

On April 30, 2025, the second-year students of “6B02305 – Kazakh Philology” major at the Faculty of Philology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University attended a guest lecture on the topic: “Speech Culture and Oratory Art.” The lecture was delivered by senior lecturer of the Department of Kazakh Literature and Literary Theory, PhD in Philology, and retired police colonel S.B. Tileubayev, in front of cadets and the teaching staff of Makan Yesbolatov Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty.
The lecture concluded with an engaging and meaningful meeting between students and cadets. This gathering held educational value and was both rich in content and full of inspiration. During the event, deep conversations were held about spiritual development, oratory skills, national identity, and the arts.
The second year student Kausar Zhamalbek gave a thoughtful talk on the topic: “Kazakh Orators and Biys,” emphasizing the importance of conveying national spirit through the power of the spoken word. Symbat Zhumamurat performed the kuy pieces “Adai” and “Erke Sylkym,” captivating the audience with the magic of traditional Kazakh instrumental music.
The first-year master’s degree student in Kazakh Philology Gulnaz Askarova performed a traditional terme, stirring a heroic spirit and uplifting the national pride of the youth.
In addition, the second-year student Berdibek Adil recited his own poem: “Spirit of a Citizen,” expressing poetic reverence for those who love and serve their country. The student Aizhannar Akhmetova sang a heartfelt song, enhancing the artistic value of the event.
The cadets also showcased their talents by composing spontaneous verses and performing music and songs on the dombra. This mutual creative exchange served as a source of inspiration for both sides.
The event was successfully organized thanks to the efforts of the head of the Department of General Education Disciplines at the Academy, Dina Nigmatullayevna Sadoukasova, senior lecturer and police lieutenant colonel Ainur Shaizadaqyzy Abylkassymova, and department lecturer Araylym Ertayevna Mergenbayeva.
At the end of the heartfelt meeting, the participants expressed their gratitude to one another and exchanged commemorative gifts. Events like this, rich in spiritual and cultural meaning, help strengthen the connection between students and cadets while fostering a shared sense of responsibility for the future of the nation.
