Promising partnership of business schools

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted a meeting for students and graduates of Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB), one of the leading business schools in China and Asia.

The initiator and organizer of the meeting was Farabi International Business School. The purpose of the visit was to expand academic and cultural dialogue, discuss topical issues of sustainable development, geo-economic trends in Central Asia and the investment climate in Kazakhstan.

Vice Rector of KazNU Erkin Duisenov addressed the guests with a welcoming speech. In his speech, he stressed the importance of strengthening educational and business ties between Kazakhstan and China, and expressed confidence in the further development of cooperation between the leading universities and business schools of the two countries.

Also, within the framework of the event, Kazakhstani experts in the field of political science, economics and culture held a special lecture for Chinese listeners. They focused on issues of regional development in Central Asia, the role of Kazakhstan as a Eurasian transport and investment hub, and cultural diversity. Special attention was paid to relevant areas of economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and China. The participants exchanged views and expressed interest in the economic system of Kazakhstan.

The event was an important step towards further strengthening the partnership between Kazakhstan and China in the fields of education, business and sustainable development.
