The development of nursing in a new direction

KazNU hosted the international conference "Global Mission of Mercy: Nursing in a Changing World", dedicated to the International Day of the Nurse.

The purpose of the conference is to bring together nursing professionals, representatives of science, education and healthcare to discuss modern challenges, innovations and strategies for the development of nursing in a global context.

Currently, nursing is experiencing a new era of digital technology adoption, the development of evidence-based practice with an emphasis on the patient and his quality of life.

The conference was attended by Director of the Center for Life Sciences of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Marlen Yesirkepov, Chairman of the Board of the National Scientific Center for Health Development named after Salidat Kairbekova of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gulnara Kulkayeva, Head of the Department of Public Health of Almaty Asiya Akanova. The speakers voiced their suggestions and ideas for improving nursing in accordance with the new requirements.

In honor of the International Day of the Nurse, within the framework of the event, cash scholarships were awarded to the best students of the Faculty of Medicine and Public Health, as well as certificates of honor to its teachers and staff.

Further, leading experts in the field of global health, scientists, and experts from around the world made presentations on topical topics. The participants discussed key issues: the development of nursing education and science, the role of nursing staff in the healthcare system, innovative approaches to patient care, the transformation of healthcare using artificial intelligence and strengthening interprofessional cooperation.
