Ecological Importance of Kazakhstan’s National Botanical Gardens: The Floral Diversity of Botanical Gardens and Their Role in Educational and Scientific Activities.

Objective of the event: To introduce students to the floral diversity and ecological significance of botanical gardens, deepen their connection with nature, enhance their ecological awareness, and develop their skills in scientific research.

In April, we took students to the Main Botanical Garden in Almaty. During the event, students had the opportunity to observe the variety of plants in different sections of the garden and made efforts to understand the role and significance of each species in the ecosystem. They explored floral collections and learned about rare and endangered plants. Additionally, students were introduced to the importance of scientific research conducted in the botanical garden, plant registration, and ecological monitoring. This event helped students improve their ecological literacy, reflect on the need for nature conservation, and gain practical experience in conducting scientific research.
