On April 25, 2025, an Open Day was held at the Faculty of Journalism of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, organized by the UNESCO Chair in Journalism and Communication.
The event was opened by the dean of the faculty, Kanat Auesbay, and wished future applicants success in choosing a profession. The event was attended by 11th grade students from various schools in Almaty, including more than 40 students from 133 schools, as well as students from boarding school N3 from Kaskelen.
The head of the Chair, Oryntay Oshanova, shared information about the specifics of the specialties "International Journalism" and "Public Relations" and gave advice to graduates on choosing a specialty.
During the event, the students received answers to their questions and the students who were active were awarded special prizes from the “TURKSOY” Center for Media Education and Research.
After the meeting, the students visited the University Museum and the Al-Farabi Library.
