We proudly congratulate the team of students from the Faculty of International Relations, enrolled in the “International Law” academic program —
Damir Sultankulov, Erkhezhan Shampiyeva and Adel Urazova —
on their well-deserved victory at the Asia Zangeri 2025 international legal competition!

🔹 About the Competition:
Asia Zangeri is a prestigious international moot court competition focused on tax law and dispute resolution. It is held annually among law students across Central Asia and organized by Fortune Partners.

In 2025, the competition ran from January 10 to May 16 and included three main stages:

1.  Preparation of a written appeal against a tax audit act;
2. Participation in qualifying rounds simulating pre-trial tax dispute resolution;
3. Final oral pleadings held at the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

🔹 Achievement:
Our team successfully passed all rounds and took 1st place among 81 teams from across Central Asia. This outstanding result reflects the participants’ academic excellence, deep understanding of legal frameworks, practical application skills, and remarkable team spirit.

🔹 Highlights of the Victory:

• Demonstrated strong command of tax and international law;
• Skillfully applied Double Taxation Treaties, OECD and UN Model Conventions;
• Competently acted as taxpayer representatives in a simulated court setting;
• Showcased legal drafting, analytical reasoning, and public speaking skills.

✨ Winning this competition not only confirms their academic and professional readiness but also opens doors to career opportunities — including internships and employment in top international law firms, consulting agencies, and government institutions.
