
On May 15, 2025, within the framework of SDG 4 the Department of Kazakh Literature and Theory of Literature of the Philological Faculty held a round table discussion on the topic: "Publication and promotion of research articles on Kazakh literature" at Dukenbai Doszhan Scientific and Creative Center for Digital Philology. The speakers were Marat Akhmedzhanov, Vice-Chairman of the Eurasian Creative Guild (London, UK), and Taina Kaunis, Executive Director.
The round table discussion was opened by the head of the Department of Kazakh Literature and Theory of Literature, Higher Doctorate of Philological Sciences, Full Professor Temirbolat Alua Berikbaykyzy.
In their report, Marat Ismailovich and Taina Kaunis spoke about the publishing process and the publications of Central Asian writers in Europe. In addition, they noted that since December 2024, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University has become a partner of the Guild. M.I. Akhmedzhanov noted that the Eurasian Creative Guild annually holds competitions in various fields of art and literature, in which young scientists and university students can participate. They discussed ways to promote publishing in Central Asia and enter the global market.
The round table discussion was attended by lectures of the Department of Kazakh Literature and Theory of Literature: Candidate of Philological Sciences Sagyndyk N.B., Candidate of Philological Sciences Mekebayeva L.A., senior lecturer ShortanbaySh.A., PhD Ospanova G.T. The event was attended by doctoral students, undergraduates and students of the Philological Faculty. They asked Marat Ismailovich and Taina Kaunis questions and expressed their opinion.
At the end of the round table discussion, the importance of cooperation between the Philological Faculty and the Eurasian Creative Guild was noted.
