KazNU hosted a meeting with a delegation from the China Aerospace Systems Corporation (CGWIC). During the meeting, Margulan Ibraimov, Member of the Board, Acting Vice Rector for Science and Innovation at Al–Farabi Kazakh National University, stressed the importance of international cooperation in the field of science and technology.

 

He told the representatives of the Chinese corporation about the university's activities, educational programs, scientific and innovative directions and joint international projects.

It should be noted that KazNU actively cooperates with 620 universities around the world, and 4,500 foreign students study within its walls, of which about 900 are Chinese students. Lin Mo, Deputy Director General of CASC's International Business Department, also noted the importance of this meeting for strengthening partnerships.

The Chinese delegation included: Li Yifan, Project Manager of the CASC International Business Department, Cui Shiqiang, Deputy General Director of the Regional Division №4 of ALIT, and Tian Lu, Senior Manager of the regional division №4 of ALIT.

During the meeting, the participants exchanged views and discussed the prospects for developing cooperation, paying special attention to joint projects and initiatives. At the end of the event, a tour of the campus was organized, during which the delegation visited the laboratory for the development of small space vehicles, which made it possible to demonstrate the achievements and scientific potential of KazNU in the field of aerospace technologies.
