Joint projects with the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan will be implemented

Chairman of the Management Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev met with President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan Rifkat Minnikhanov.

During the meeting, the parties discussed ways to establish cooperation and touched upon a number of topical issues.

Zhanseit Tuimebayev expressed KazNU's readiness to further strengthen its partnership with the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan. He noted the wide opportunities for expanding cooperation in such areas as the implementation of scientific projects, the exchange of scientists, as well as the sharing of archival materials.

"KazNU has agreements with 180 higher education institutions in Russia. In particular, cooperation with Tatarstan universities is actively developing. We invite scientists and professors of the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan to give lectures and share their experience at KazNU. I am convinced that in the future it is necessary to develop a scientific partnership between the university and the academy", - said the rector.

During the meeting, Rifkat Minnikhanov stressed the potential of cooperation between KazNU and the Academy, expressing readiness to implement joint projects. "The Academy of Sciences was founded in 1991. It is a state scientific organization that performs the functions of a scientific coordination and expert center in the field of humanities, natural sciences and technical sciences. The Academy consists of 160 scientists. Seven scientific departments, six research institutes and two research centers are also successfully operating. We are always ready to share our experience and implement joint projects with KazNU", - said the President of the Academy.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to systematically implement the outlined initiatives and exchanged memorable gifts.

Zhanseit Tuimebayev also met with Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and discussed issues of strengthening ties between KazNU and Tatarstan universities.
