Doctoral Students of the Faculty of Physics and Technology Participated in a Seminar by Professors from Lehigh University. SDG 4 and SDG 17

Doctoral students of the Faculty of Physics and Technology actively took part in the scientific-practical seminar conducted by professors from Lehigh University (USA) on the topic “Leveraging Generative AI tools for Research Productivity,” held in the academician E. Yergozhin conference hall at the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology.
Participants of the event had a unique opportunity to explore cutting-edge methods of using generative artificial intelligence in scientific research, including data processing automation, intelligent text generation, and the acceleration of experimental studies.
The seminar served as a platform for dynamic dialogue between young Kazakhstani researchers and international experts, where current challenges and opportunities in the AI era were discussed, along with issues of academic ethics, research culture, and scholarly citation in the context of emerging technologies.
Advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
Participation in this seminar contributed to the advancement of several key UN Sustainable Development Goals:
- SDG 4 — Quality Education: Enhancing AI-related skills among young researchers helps improve the quality of academic training and expands scholarly perspectives.
- SDG 17 — Partnerships for the Goals: Establishing international academic ties and sharing knowledge with representatives from Lehigh University strengthens global partnerships.
The Faculty of Physics and Technology expresses its gratitude to the organizers and participants of the seminar, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives for training competitive specialists and integrating the university into the global scientific community.
