
Graduates of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, who graduated from the university in different years, raised about 300 million tenge and provided sponsorship for the modernization of classrooms of faculties and the arrangement of canteens in student dormitories.
As part of the traditional Alumni Day, the head of the university, Zhanseit Tuimebayev, expressed gratitude to the active graduates who made a significant contribution to the development of the university.
In his speech, Zhanseit Kanseitovich noted: "In his message to the people of Kazakhstan, Head of State Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev emphasized: "Endowment funds at universities should become a key link in the development of the educational ecosystem." We sincerely thank graduates from different years who provided sponsorship assistance in equipping classrooms and laboratories with modern equipment, where they themselves once studied. All these initiatives are aimed at the benefit of our students"
The participation of Director of "ALEMTRADE" LLP Serikzhan Kazakbayev, who handed over equipment worth 200 million tenge to the laboratory of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, was particularly noted. The support of graduates of different years, who equipped the classrooms of the Faculty of Physics and Technology with technical equipment worth 40 million tenge, was also emphasized. We also thanked graduates of the Faculty of Law in 2000, who allocated 15 million tenge for the overhaul of the lecture hall with 90 seats, as well as Bakytbek Begaliev, a 1982 graduate, who financed the Kalaushi Begaliev auditorium in the amount of 12 million tenge.
Gratitude was also expressed to Nurzhan Alagozov, a graduate of the Department of Geography and Tourism, who graduated from the university 20 years ago and invested 10 million tenge in the renovation of the classroom. They also noted Aidan Sydykov, a graduate of the Higher School of Economics and Business in 2014, who equipped the dining room on floors 2-6 of student dormitory No. 16 with kitchen furniture and household appliances.
In conclusion, for their significant contribution to the development of the university, many graduates were awarded letters of appreciation, the gold medal "Farabi" and the medal "Yeren yenbegi ushin".
It should be recalled that the KazNU Alumni Day was attended by government and public figures, poets and writers, diplomats, chief editors of republican newspapers and magazines, famous scientists and professors. This year, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University has graduated 6,573 graduates, including 5,410 bachelors and 1,163 undergraduates.
