Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences Welcomed the Delegation of Berdakh Karakalpak State University

On June 3, 2025, within the framework of the implementation of SDGs 4 and 17, the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted a delegation from Berdakh Karakalpak State University (Republic of Uzbekistan).

As part of the visit, a campus tour was organized, during which the guests were introduced to the faculty's infrastructure and the activities of the Center for Sustainable Development. The delegation was shown modern equipment and instruments used in the educational process and research projects, as well as the ongoing initiatives in the fields of sustainable development, environmental safety, and rational use of natural resources.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for academic and scientific cooperation between the two universities, including collaboration within the framework of scientific and pedagogical geography.The sides expressed interest in developing joint research projects, academic mobility of students and faculty members, and sharing experience in training specialists in the fields of geography and sustainable development.

The Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management continues to strengthen international cooperation, opening new opportunities for integration into the global educational and scientific space.
