The Abai-Vern Scholarship Program is a joint program of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic. Within the framework of this program, a competition is announced for the award of scholarships without limitation of the choice of specialties. In total, 35 scholarships are provided for master's students of 2 years of study in Kazakhstani universities and 3 scholarships for doctoral students with the preparation of a dissertation under joint scientific supervision.

First-year master’s students of the educational program “7M07101 – Petrochemistry” at the Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis, and Petrochemistry — Nurym Bekzat, Ersainova Dana, Ilyas Sultan, Amanzholov Aldiyar, and Sailau Aruzhan — have been awarded the international "Abai-Vern" scholarship. This scholarship provides a unique opportunity to study at leading higher education institutions in France.

As part of a dual-degree program, our students will continue their second-year studies at one of France’s leading universities — Claude Bernard Lyon 1 University. This program aims to train highly qualified professionals with international academic experience and contributes to the development of young researchers’ scientific potential.

The "Abai-Vern"scholarship covers tuition and living expenses abroad for a period of 10 months, enabling students to focus fully on their studies and research in one of Europe’s most advanced educational environments.

We sincerely congratulate our master’s students on this well-deserved achievement and wish them continued success, scientific breakthroughs, and new accomplishments!

Acting Associate Professor of the Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry Kanapiyeva F.M.
