A discussion event in the framework of SDG 15 "Conservation of terrestrial ecosystems"

On November 12, 2024, in the framework of SDG 15 "Conservation of terrestrial ecosystems" a discussion event with students of Biological Engineering. "Plastic waste as an environmental problem of planet Earth" was hosted. The purpose was to discuss the problem of using plastic, types of plastic, consideration of alternative options for harmful plastic, and ways to solve the problem. The students got acquainted with the types of plastic products and the meaning of markings on the bottom of plastic dishes, the dangers of plastic, analyzed the scale of the problem, and brainstormed on alternative plastic replacement options.
