KazNU staff met with diplomat Berlin Irishev

A meeting of state and public figure, diplomat, Doctor of Economics, Honorary Professor of KazNU Berlin Irishev with teachers and students took place at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The event was opened by Chairman of the Board – Rector of KazNU, Zhanseit Tuimebayev, who noted the contribution of the famous figure to the development of the country. "Berlin Irishev has made a huge contribution to the recognition of our country in the international arena since the first years of independence. He contributed to the successful implementation of reforms in various sectors of the economy. As a Doctor of Economics, he wrote a number of scientific papers. He opened the way for the development of Russian science and gave direction to the younger generation. In the diplomatic service, he also made a great contribution to shaping our country's foreign policy and establishing mutually beneficial relations with foreign countries", - said the head of the university. He also noted that Berlin Irishev paid special attention to the scientific study of outstanding Kazakh figures, and set his education and patriotism as an example to young people.

The guest of honor, in turn, expressed warm feelings to the university staff. "This is the third time we have met with the KazNU staff. A lot of changes are taking place at the university in this short time. I have seen KazNU's joint projects and centers with China in the field of science and technology. Obviously, such a partnership will open up great opportunities in the future", - the diplomat said.

During the meeting, Berlin Irishev discussed in detail the issues of politics in the economy and gave examples from his experience. He emphasized the relevance of effective money management in the life of the country and presented his works published in this regard.

The author also explored the life path of the Kazakh girl  Alla Ilchun who became the muse of the famous French fashion designer Christian Dior. He tried to define her role not only in the field of fashion, but also in strengthening cross-cultural ties. He presented the documentary "Alla is the oriental pearl of Dior" to the public. At the meeting, the scientist shared extensive information about the progress of the research and emphasized the role of the work in promoting Kazakh culture in Europe.

At the end of the meeting, the KazNU staff expressed great respect for the person who made a comprehensive contribution to strengthening Kazakhstan's position in the world community.
