“ALTAY AMANZHOLOV AND THE TURKIC WORLD. III INTERNATIONAL AMANZHOLOV READINGS”

On June 17, 2025,  “ALTAY AMANZHOLOV AND THE TURKIC WORLD. III INTERNATIONAL AMANZHOLOV READINGS” round table discussion  was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The event  took place at Academician A.T. Qaıdar International Center of Turkic Culture and Heritage at the Faculty of Philology.
More than 30 scholars, doctoral students, and researchers from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Eurasian Research Center, Istanbul University (Istanbul, Turkey), Institute of Cultural Heritage (Chisinau, Moldova), Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University (Oskemen, Kazakhstan), L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (Astana, Kazakhstan), Sherkhan Murtaza International Taraz Innovation Institute (Taraz, Kazakhstan), and Äzhiniyaz Nukus State Pedagogical Institute (Nukus, Uzbekistan) took part in the event. The event was held in both online and offline formats. The participants discussed  the scientific heritage of Altay Sarsenuly Amanzholo,  research on Old Turkic lexicon and lexicography,  new technologies and research methods in Turkology,  current issues in Kazakh linguistics,  history of writing systems and orthography at the round table discussion.  The round table discussion  was organized on the basis of the following projects: JTN BR21882334 “Qazaq Poetic Corpus Development: Morphological and Poetic Annotation of Abai’s Poems” and JTN 19675130 “Lexicographical System of Common Phraseologisms in Turkic Languages”.
