The best graduates of KazNU were awarded diplomas at the celebrationFarabi University

A graduation ceremony for the best graduates was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The solemn event was attended by deputies of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan — Altynbek Nukhuly and Nurtore Zhusip, as well as deputies of the Mazhilis — Zhanarbek Ashimzhanov, Ermurat Bapi and Aidos Sarym. The distinguished guests presented diplomas to the young specialists and congratulated them on the successful completion of their studies.

The ceremony was also attended by Chairman of the Board of Directors of KazNU Kairat Mami, member of the Board Timur Aisautov, members of the Public Council and well-known public figures who wished the graduates success in their future professional activities.

The festive ceremony was opened by Chairman of the Board – Rector of KazNU Zhanseit Tuimebayev. In his speech, he emphasized the achievements of the university and its high international status.:

"Al-Farabi Kazakh National University ranks 166th in the QS international ranking. Our university is ranked 29th in the QS Asia University Rankings. These successes are the result of the hard work of the entire team, faculty and students. Today, the university cooperates with more than 700 leading universities in the world. KazNU branches are successfully operating in Istanbul, Bishkek and Omsk. This confirms that our university is a competitive international educational institution", - said the rector.

The head of the university also proudly mentioned that at various times prominent figures of Kazakh science and culture taught at KazNU – Mukhtar Auezov, Kanysh Satpayev, Alkey Margulan, Zeynolla Kabdolov. He recalled that among the graduates of the university there are well–known statesmen, and called on young specialists to continue these best traditions of the university.

This year, 7,080 students graduated from the university. Of these, 5,410 are bachelors, 1,163 are masters, and 507 are doctoral students. 1,404 students have graduated with honors. Among the graduates are 660 international students from China, Mongolia, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Japan, Indonesia, Iran, Pakistan, Turkey, Ghana and Kyrgyzstan, who are now returning home with a KazNU diploma.

Hijran Abdul, a graduate student from Afghanistan, spoke among the foreign graduates and thanked the university in Kazakh:

"It is a great honor for me to participate in this evening. I am proud to have received a diploma from KazNU. Many thanks to my teachers for their knowledge. Thank you for everything, my KazNU!"

A master's student from Japan also spoke Koga Chiaki:

"I completed my master's degree at the Faculty of International Relations. KazNU gave me not only education, but also life values. I have made wonderful friends here. It's very difficult to say goodbye. I sincerely thank the professors!"

Kazakh judoka, master of sports Abiba Abuzhakynova also took the stage and shared her plans.:

"For me, university is not just an educational institution, but a sacred place where I was formed as a person. The upbringing I received here will always lead me forward", - she said with excitement.

The honored guests also addressed the graduates with parting words, wishing them honesty, responsibility and success in their professional environment. Senator Altynbek Nukhuly noted:

"Today we have witnessed a new achievement of the Kazakh National University, which holds a special place in our hearts. Exactly forty years ago, we graduated from this university ourselves. KazNU has become for us not only a source of knowledge, but also a life reference point. Dear graduates, I believe that you will honorably continue this glorious tradition. It is a great honor and a huge responsibility to carry the trust of the nation. May your knowledge always serve the good of the Motherland, and success accompany you at every step", - he said with sincere wishes.
