Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science awarded diplomas to graduates

A graduation ceremony was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University for graduates of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science who successfully completed their studies at the university.

Board member and Vice–Rector for Academic Affairs Alina Galeeva congratulated the graduates on behalf of KazNU Rector, Zhanseit Tuimebayev, wishing them a bright and wide road, success and great victories on their professional path.

The dean of the Faculty, Candidate of Philosophy, Associate Professor Bekzhan Meirbayev addressed the graduates with a welcoming speech. He made a brief excursion into the history of the faculty, which dates back to the opening of the Department of Psychology and Logic in 1947 and the establishment of the Faculty of Philosophy and Economics of KazGU named after S.M.Kirov in 1949.  Since then, the faculty has produced many generations of specialists, many of whom have reached great heights in the professional and public fields. It is enough to mention the names of such famous graduates as Erlan Karin, State Adviser of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Bolat Tlep, Chairman of the Board and Rector of Abai KazNPU, Abzal Nukenov, Head of the Internal Policy Department of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Elnur Beisenbayev, Deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan of the VII–VIII convocations, and others.

"This year, FFiP is releasing 456 qualified specialists into professional life, including 273 bachelor's, 120 master's and 63 PhD degrees. 133 graduates graduated from the university with a red diploma. Today, new horizons and opportunities are opening up before you, and I am sure that each of you will meet the expectations of your alma mater, reaching great heights in life", - said the dean.

In conclusion, the presenters wished the graduates success in implementing relevant projects aimed at the development of the country and emphasizing the importance of their contribution to the creation of a kind-hearted and united nation.
