Promoting ESG Principles in Academic and Corporate Environments: The Experience of Collaboration between Al-Farabi KazNU and Altyn Bank JSC

As part of the implemented GF project AP19678012 “Triune Concept of Sustainable Development (ESG): Business Interests in the Context of Balanced Regional Development”, Professor Ainagul Amangeldinovna Adambekova of the Department of Management at the Higher School of Economics and Business of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University was invited as a speaker in one of the episodes of the JSC Altyn Bank’s project show “About ESG”.

The project of JSC Altyn Bank is implemented as a series of panel interview episodes on its YouTube channel, addressing current issues related to sustainable business development and the popularization of ESG principles in corporate governance. Leading experts in the field of ESG management are invited as participants of the program to discuss effective solutions for long-term sustainable business development, taking into account the views of all stakeholders.

During the interview, the approaches of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were also highlighted, including the integration of ESG principles into educational, scientific, and administrative practices. Special attention was given to the role of universities in shaping and promoting ESG culture, as well as their potential as drivers of sustainable transformations in society and the economy.
