Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted a meeting with representatives of the National University of Forensic Sciences (NFSU), Lloyd's Business School and Penn State University, where issues related to the development of educational and scientific partnerships were discussed.

Margulan Ibraimov, Member of the Board and Acting Vice Rector for Scientific and Innovative Activities, addressed the participants of the meeting with a welcoming speech. He noted the importance of expanding international cooperation. "KazNU maintains active academic and scientific ties with 19 universities and organizations in the United States and 10 Indian higher education institutions and institutes. Key partners include Penn State University, George Washington University, Columbia University, Bombay Indian Institute of Technology, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Amity University and others",- said the Vice Rector. "We strive to strengthen ties with universities around the world, and I am confident that cooperation with the University of Pennsylvania will bring positive results"

During the event, the participants discussed many topical issues related to the development of joint research initiatives and exchanges. One of the key aspects of the conversation concerned the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between KazNU and the University of Pennsylvania, which was concluded on April 29, 2024. Within the framework of this agreement, it is planned to implement joint projects, conferences and exchange of teaching staff.

Stephen Barnes, Vice Dean of the School of Law, spoke about the activities of Penn State University, one of the top 15 state-funded universities in the United States, which ranks 37th in the QS WUR ranking. "Cooperation between our universities opens up new horizons for students and teachers, allowing them to share knowledge and experience, which is extremely important in today's world",- said Mr. Barnes.

Further, representatives of KazNU and foreign universities exchanged views on various areas of cooperation, including the development of educational programs and joint research.

The delegation's visit ended with a campus tour, during which the guests got acquainted with the university's infrastructure.
