Faculty Students Participate in Summer School at Xinjiang University

Students, master’s and PhD candidates, as well as young researchers from the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University are participating in the second Summer School hosted by Xinjiang University (Urumqi, PRC).

The program includes lectures and cultural events. Topics presented during the school include: Soil organic carbon stocks and carbon potentials in arid zones; Water sources and water use strategies of xerophytic plants in arid regions; Forest resources monitoring and protection based on LiDAR, as well as other relevant areas in the field of sustainable environmental management.

Participation in the school contributes to students’ academic growth and promotes international collaboration.
