YOUNG LEADERS AND ENTREPRENEURS OF THE TURKIC WORLD GATHERED IN KAZNU
A meeting of young leaders and entrepreneurs was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University as part of the IV International Youth Festival of the Organization of Turkic States.
The forum was attended by youth delegations from the member countries of the organizations of Turkic states – Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkiye, Uzbekistan, as well as observer countries - Hungary and Turkmenistan. Representatives of government agencies, international youth organizations and business associations also attended the event.
Chairman of the Board – Rector of KazNU Zhanseit Tuimebayev delivered a welcoming speech at the opening ceremony, who noted that awarding Almaty the status of the "youth capital of the Turkic world in 2025" is a great breakthrough for the youth of the Turkic countries.
"This status is another evidence of the historical, cultural and spiritual ties between fraternal peoples. We are pleased to welcome young leaders and entrepreneurs to the university. This platform will undoubtedly promote cooperation between the youth of the Turkic world, reflect new ideas and initiatives of joint projects",- said the head of the university.
In his speech, Kubanichbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States, stressed that youth occupies a special place in deepening ties between Turkic-speaking countries. According to him, young people are becoming the main driving force in responding to modern challenges, mastering new technologies, and preserving and developing cultural heritage.
During the meeting, young leaders and experts from different countries shared their experiences and presented projects in their fields. Ulan Nauken, Chairman of the Alliance of Students of Kazakhstan, stressed the importance of fostering a spirit of civic engagement and patriotism among young people. Azerbaijani volunteer Elman Hasanli shared his personal experience gained in the field of entrepreneurship, and young Kyrgyz entrepreneur Eraly Toktanazarov spoke about business support mechanisms in his country. Urhan Hakan from the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Turkey presented a model of youth policy in Turkey. Uzbek entrepreneur, CEO of Hudson Sandler LLC Umarbek Zaribbayev voiced effective approaches and proposals for the development of entrepreneurship. In addition, the founder of the IT startup EasyTap, Magzum Tolesh, focused on the process of developing digital projects in Kazakhstan. The head of the EcoSen environmental initiative, Aybek Rahim, noted the need to form an ecological culture and responsibility for the environment. Aliya Orazymbet, a member of the board of the TechnoWomen public association, spoke about initiatives to improve digital literacy and women's entrepreneurship.
At the end of the meeting, an informal discussion platform was organized, the participants discussed the possibilities of mutual partnership.
The participants also visited the Farabi HUB, a center for scientific and innovative products and high–tech projects, where they got acquainted with the scientific and innovative potential of the university.
