COOPERATION WITH HENAN AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED

The delegation of Henan Agricultural University of China met with the leadership of KazNU at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

Opening the meeting with a welcoming speech, Deputy Chairman of the Board – First Vice-Rector Erkin Duisenov told the guests about KazNU's international and scientific and educational activities.

The Chinese side was represented by the Rector of Henan Agricultural University (HCU), Mr. Yue Jieyong. Expressing interest in the development of bilateral cooperation between universities and the exchange of experience in the field of agricultural and technological sciences, he spoke about the history and activities of the University of China.

Henan Agricultural University is one of the oldest and leading agricultural universities in China. Its history began in 1902, where more than 34 000 students are currently enrolled in bachelor's, master's and doctoral programs. Educational activities cover 10 branches of knowledge, including agronomy, engineering, medicine, management and art. The University is a leader in agricultural research. Its structure includes dozens of scientific laboratories and engineering centers, including the National Key Laboratory for the Production of Wheat and Corn, as well as a biological laboratory at the P3 level. The results of scientists' scientific research are published in leading international journals such as Nature and Science.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of joint research projects, the exchange of students and teachers, the development of academic mobility programs, as well as international conferences and internships.

The visit resulted in the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Henan Agricultural University.
