Members of the Department of Chinese Studies spoke as experts on the “Khabar 24” TV channel

On August 31 – September 1, 2025, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit was held in Tianjin, with the participation of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

In connection with this event, the faculty members of the Department of Chinese Studies — Professor Mukametkhanuly Nabizhan and Associate Professor Dinara Dauyen — gave an expert interview to the “Khabar 24” TV channel. The scholars emphasized the importance of the summit for strengthening regional security, expanding economic cooperation, and developing the Kazakhstan–China dialogue.

The participation of the department’s faculty on a national television channel highlights the high level of expertise of the Department of Chinese Studies and its active contribution to the public and academic discussion of international relations in Central Asia.
