Leadership Lecture on the topic: “Abai’s Legacy is An Example for Humanity”

On September 3, 2025, at the Faculty of Philology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, organized by the Department of Turkology and Language Theory, PhD, member of the Writers’ Union of Kazakhstan, Yerbolat Bayat delivered  a leadership lecture on the topic “Abai’s Legacy is  An Example for Humanity.” The lecture started   at 12:00 in Room  3-2  .

The main purpose of the leadership lecture was to convey to students the wise legacy of the great thinker and poet Abai, enrich their spiritual world, and form their views on morality, knowledge, and humanism. During the lecture, the main issues  raised in Abai’s prose and poetry were discussed in detail: striving for science and knowledge, justice, diligence, and moral values.

In his speech, Yerbolat Bayat particularly emphasized that Abai’s heritage is a source of education not only for the Kazakh people but also for all humanity. It was noted that the concept of the “Perfect Man” and the call for high human qualities remain relevant in modern society. In addition, examples from Abai’s works were cited, clearly showing their educational significance for young people. Students showed great activity: they shared their thoughts and asked questions. Particularly noteworthy were attempts to connect Abai’s ideas with modern realities. This demonstrates the growing interest of young people in national values.                                             

In conclusion, it was highlighted that the lecture enriched the students’ spiritual world and contributed to their understanding of both national and universal values. The leadership lecture “Abai’s Legacy – An Example for Humanity” had a significant impact on the worldview of future specialists and made a great contribution to their spiritual and moral upbringing.
