On September 5, 2025, at 18:00, in the conference hall of Dormitory No. 16, an event titled «Language – The Measure of Intellect» was held, organized by the Department of Economics of the Higher School of Economics and Business in honor of the Day of Languages in Kazakhstan.
The purpose of the event, in line with SDG indicators 4 and 16, was to hold a meeting with students and youth on the theme «Language – The Measure of Intellect». The event aimed to emphasize the decisive role of language in shaping human thinking, cognitive development, and worldview, and to demonstrate that the richness of vocabulary directly affects the depth and diversity of thought. Through the interconnection «as we think – so we speak, and as we speak – so we think», it was substantiated that language is not only a tool of communication but also a key mechanism for developing thought and expressing complex ideas.
