Language is the treasure of a nation

On September 5, 2025, first-year students, under the guidance of curator Shaltenbay Gulfairuz Nurgaliyevna, from the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, majoring in 6B05105 – Genetics, held a curator’s hour dedicated to the Day of Languages of the People of Kazakhstan. The purpose of this event was to help the younger generation understand the role and importance of language in society and to promote national values.

During the open class, students discussed the languages of various ethnic groups living in Kazakhstan, as well as their cultural heritage and traditions. The status of the state language, the need to develop and respect it, was widely discussed. In addition, the participants emphasized the advantages of multilingualism, noting that knowing several languages is the key to the competitiveness of modern youth.

At the curator’s hour, it was highlighted that language is not only a means of communication but also the history, culture, and spiritual wealth of a nation. Students realized that learning languages not only broadens their horizons but also contributes to strengthening friendship and mutual understanding among peoples.

At the end of the event, students came to a common conclusion:
“Language is the foundation of unity and integrity of the country. Every young person must respect their language and pass it on to future generations!”
