A workshop for the development of drones will be created in the Treasury

Chairman of the Management Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev met with Tang Jiulong, CEO of the Chinese Yuan Zhen Company.

At the meeting, the parties signed a memorandum on the establishment of a workshop for the development of unmanned aerial vehicles on the basis of KazNU.

This agreement was reached during the working visit of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the People's Republic of China.

As part of the signed memorandum, KazNU and the Yuan Zhen Company are jointly developing and putting into operation civilian unmanned aerial vehicles. In addition, it provides for the possibility of implementing joint research projects and internships for students. Drones manufactured on the basis of an educational institution can be used in various fields. The workshop will also facilitate the training of qualified specialists.

During the negotiations, Zhanseit Tuimebayev noted that joint scientific projects with Chinese partners are being successfully implemented at KazNU. For example, the university, together with universities and scientific organizations in China, is implementing projects and has launched supercomputer and robotics centers.

In turn, Tang Jiulong, CEO of Yuan Zhen Investment and development company, noted that the unmanned aerial vehicles development workshop will develop partnership between the two countries in the direction of mastering new technologies.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to create a special working group that will prepare the necessary site for the scientific workshop and carry out repairs. A Chinese company will provide the necessary machinery and equipment.
