Round Table on the Topic: “Ways to Eradicate Poverty”

On September 12, 2025, at the initiative of Aygul Daulet, Senior Lecturer of the Department of “Turkology and Language Theory” of the Faculty of Philology, a round table on the topic “Ways to Eradicate Poverty” was held with 3rd-year students of the “Turkology” major.

The main goal of the round table was to discuss effective mechanisms for reducing poverty in society, to define the role of state and public organizations, and to involve young people in solving social issues.

The round table was attended by 3rd-year students of the “Turkology” program.

The following issues were discussed:

1. The main causes of poverty – unemployment, low level of education, social inequality.
2. Effectiveness of state programs – implementation of the “Employment Roadmap” program, targeted social assistance, and microcredit programs.
3. The role of youth – volunteer work, social entrepreneurship, and contribution to society through innovative projects.
4. Initiatives of non-governmental organizations – charity, social projects, and public awareness activities.

Participants shared their experiences and proposed ways to solve these problems.

Proposals and conclusions:

• Develop vocational training courses to increase employment.
• Support social entrepreneurship by expanding opportunities for low-income families to earn income.
• Implement joint projects of public organizations and state structures.
• Strengthen grant programs to encourage active participation of young people.

Conclusion:
The round table achieved its goal. Participants exchanged views and made concrete proposals. During the event, a common understanding was formed that solving the problem of poverty depends not only on the state but also on the contribution of every citizen.
