On September 9, 2025, the traditional roadshow of the international Huawei ICT Competition 2025–2026 was organized at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The event took place in the Red Hall of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, bringing together students and faculty members.

During the meeting, representatives from Huawei Technologies Kazakhstan and the Huawei Academy at KazNU provided information about the main directions of the competition, participation rules, and professional opportunities available to young specialists. Participants were introduced to the main areas of the contest: networking technologies, cloud services and computing systems, programming, and innovations.

Huawei ICT Competition is one of the largest international educational initiatives in the field of information and communication technologies. Every year, over 960,000 students from more than 100 countries participate in the competition. Kazakh teams consistently achieve excellent results, reaching the world finals and winning prizes.

For students, this competition opens the door to modern digital knowledge, international Huawei certifications, and successful IT careers. For faculty, the event provided an opportunity to exchange experiences and learn about the trends in the global digital ecosystem.

The Huawei ICT Competition 2025–2026 roadshow held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University aligns with several UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): SDG 4: Quality Education — the competition enables students to gain new digital skills, develop professional competencies, and obtain international certifications. SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth — enhancing young IT specialists’ qualifications increases their demand in the labor market and supports successful career development. SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure — special focus on networking technologies, cloud services, programming, and innovations promotes the development of modern infrastructure.
