KazNU scientists have developed a platform for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases
Scientists at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University have developed the Zhurek AI platform, which detects the risk of cardiovascular diseases at an early stage.
The artificial intelligence-based platform can detect abnormalities in the cardiovascular system in a timely manner and automatically assess the level of risk, as well as facilitate the work of medical professionals.
The user uploads the blood test result in PDF format to the platform and fills out a specially prepared questionnaire. The system then quickly processes all the information and provides a risk forecast. In conclusion, the user is advised to consult a doctor if there is a threat to life.

The platform's operation consists of a complex algorithm that includes deep neural networks (DNNs) and the Large-margin SVMs method, which ensure high accuracy in diagnosing and classifying risks.
"The main advantage of the project is speed. The second is accuracy. Zhurek AI has been trained on thousands of real medical data, so it is able to identify hidden anomalies that sometimes go unnoticed by doctors. This is very important for early diagnosis", - says Asia Baltabayeva, a researcher at the Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things at KazNU.

The project is funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 15 KazNU scientists were involved in the development of the innovative platform. In the future, the specialists plan to launch and commercialize the system.
