On September 18, 2025, third-year students majoring in Japanese Studies at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University organized an origami workshop for KazNU students at Dormitory No. 14. During the session, participants folded two traditional Japanese crafts — a crane and a samurai helmet.
Although some students initially found the tasks challenging, with mutual support and collaborative work, everyone was able to complete their origami successfully. At the end of the workshop, students shared their impressions, saying: “It was more difficult than expected, but very interesting” and “I want to learn more about Japanese culture.”
This event contributed to a deeper understanding of Japanese culture among students and helped strengthen their interpersonal connections. In the future, similar workshops are planned to be held regularly, covering seasonal and festive themes.
