SDG 17: Open-Air Movie Night

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, in partnership with the Youth Policy Department of Almaty city, organized a special “Open-Air Movie Night” for students on the university campus.

This event aimed to provide students with a meaningful way to spend their free time, strengthen team spirit, and enhance cultural and educational engagement. A cozy and friendly atmosphere was created, with free popcorn offered to moviegoers.

Before the screening, participants took part in an engaging quiz about the history of the university and the city of Almaty. Those who actively participated and answered correctly were awarded special prizes. The quiz not only enhanced students’ knowledge but also strengthened unity and cooperation among them.

The movie selection was made with students’ preferences in mind, and the open-air setting created a unique and memorable atmosphere for the event.

Our university, together with the Youth Policy Department of Almaty city, plans to continue organizing many more interesting cultural and educational events in the future.
