Delegation of Shaanxi Normal University visited the Faculty of Oriental Studies

On September 25, a delegation from Shaanxi Normal University, led by Professor Wang Wenbo, Director of the “Belt and Road” Research Center, paid an official visit to the Faculty of Oriental Studies at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

During the meeting, the parties discussed expanding cooperation between the two universities and implementing new joint projects. In particular, in a discussion with the Department of Chinese Studies, proposals were made regarding the launch of academic mobility programs for students between Kazakhstan and China, professional development opportunities for faculty members during academic breaks, as well as the organization of winter and summer language camps to improve students’ language proficiency.

Head of the Department of Chinese Studies, F. Orazakynkyzy, emphasized the faculty’s strong interest in international cooperation, noting that these initiatives would open up new opportunities for both students and teachers.

As a result of the meeting, both sides expressed their intention to further strengthen collaboration and to promote the development of academic, educational, and cultural ties between Kazakhstan and China.
