Future Translators for Peace and Justice: SDG 16 Initiative

On September 30, 2025, the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Studies organized an event dedicated to Sustainable Development Goal 16: “Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions.”
The first-year students of “6B02304 - Translation Studies (Western Langauges)” major learned about the key principles of SDG 16, took part in an interactive discussion, and worked in groups. During the session, they addressed the important role of translators in ensuring access to information, fostering intercultural mediation, and promoting the values of justice and peace.
The initiative encouraged students to demonstrate their active involvement, share their own ideas, and further develop both professional and civic competencies.
