KAZNU SCHOLAR GAVE AN EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW TO XINHUA NEWS AGENCY
On September 30, 2025, Associate Professor of the Department of Chinese Studies at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Fatimabibi Daulet, gave an exclusive interview to one of the world’s largest media outlets — Xinhua News Agency (Xinhua). In her remarks, Professor Daulet provided an expert assessment of China’s remarkable achievements in socio-economic development, innovative reforms, large-scale social programs, and global initiatives such as the Belt and Road. She emphasized that these factors have strengthened China’s role as a key participant in international processes and highlighted the importance of Kazakhstan and Al-Farabi KazNU in advancing academic cooperation and sustainable development within this global context. Particular attention was given to the role of KazNU. Professor Daulet noted that the university hosts a branch of Northwestern Polytechnical University (Xi’an), a Kazakh-Chinese joint laboratory on Remote Sensing Technologies and Applications, and the Central Asian Sustainable Development Center, whose activities address pressing social issues in the region and in the countries participating in the Belt and Road initiative. KazNU actively engages in international forums, conferences, and academic networks, and maintains partnerships with more than 65 leading universities in China.
