October 1st is Higher Education Workers' Day in the Republic of Kazakhstan
This holiday was celebrated at the Faculty of Geography and Natural Resources at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Students greeted the faculty with beautiful music. An exhibition was organized at the faculty, which brought a special atmosphere to the faculty and staff. During the congratulatory ceremony, the faculty members' contributions to education and upbringing were highly commended. The main goal of this event was to recognize the work of higher education workers, define their role in society, and strengthen the spiritual bonds between teachers and students. The faculty will continue to work productively to improve the quality of education and systematically advance research and education.
As part of these events, the faculty organized a series of educational activities with the participation of Professor Amangeldy Tazhievich Temirbekov, PhD in Geography. At a meeting on the topic of "The Moral Path of Life," the professor shared his life experiences with students and shared important insights into science and education.
During a roundtable discussion on the topic of "The Role of Geographical Science and Education in Modern Kazakhstan," students and faculty exchanged views on current scientific issues.
In addition, two master classes were held:
- "Geoinformation Technologies: A New Direction in Modern Education"
- "Higher Education: The Key to National Development: The Global Mission of the Teacher" (as part of the Future Program)
These events will enhance students' scientific interest and determine their professional direction.
