SDG 4, 16: Managing Finances Wisely – A Vital Life Skill

At the Faculty of Medicine and Healthcare of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, awareness activities aimed at improving students’ financial literacy were organized. Specialists from Otbasу Bank JSC took part in the event, providing young people with detailed information on key financial concepts and practical skills.

During the awareness sessions, students were introduced to methods of effective personal finance management, the importance of income planning and a culture of savings, as well as investment opportunities and the advantages of government programs. In addition, practical advice was given on the safe use of banking services.

The students received answers to their questions and gained practical knowledge on the procedure for opening savings accounts and the effective use of funds. Bank representatives emphasized that the financial literacy of young people has a direct impact on their future stability.

These awareness activities contributed to the development of students’ financial culture, improved their ability to make responsible decisions, and positively influenced both their professional and personal growth.
