On October 1, 2025, at 17:00, a scientific seminar was held in Room 413 of the Department of Electronics and Astrophysics at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The event was of great importance as it was dedicated to the official approval of doctoral dissertation topics.
The seminar gathered faculty members, scientific supervisors, young researchers, and doctoral students. Doctoral candidates from the programs Radio Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications and Physics and Astronomy presented their research proposals. Each topic was thoroughly evaluated for its scientific novelty, relevance, and practical significance.

Contribution of the Event to the Achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
The seminar reflects Al-Farabi Kazakh National University’s commitment to sustainable development policies and corporate social responsibility, contributing to the achievement of the following UN Sustainable Development Goals:

  • SDG 4 “Quality Education”: the seminar supports the advancement of postgraduate education, the improvement of scientific personnel training quality, and the development of competencies necessary for addressing complex scientific and technological challenges.

  • SDG 9 “Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure”: the presented dissertation topics focus on the development of cutting-edge technologies in radio engineering, electronics, telecommunications, and astrophysics, thereby fostering the growth of an innovative scientific and technical base and strengthening the country’s scientific and industrial potential.

As a result, the dissertation topics were formally approved, and the doctoral students received valuable recommendations to further strengthen their research.
