At Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, an officer from the Almaty City Police Department delivered an informational lecture for students on the topic of combating drug abuse.

During the lecture, the police officer spoke in detail about the harmful effects of drugs on human life and highlighted how drug use has become a pressing social issue among young people. It was emphasized that drugs rapidly destroy the body, damage the nervous system, impair cognitive abilities, and shorten life expectancy. In addition, it was noted that such harmful habits negatively affect not only the individual but also their family and loved ones.

The lecture also covered issues of legal responsibility related to the use and distribution of narcotic substances. The police officer explained that this area is strictly regulated under the laws of Kazakhstan, with both administrative and criminal liability for violations.

Students actively asked questions and received valuable information. They emphasized that such meetings make them reflect on important life choices and encourage them to avoid harmful habits.

The event was organized within the framework of the university’s educational program and aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle and strengthening students’ resistance to harmful influences.
