Al-Farabi Kazakh National University was visited by a delegation from Cheung Kong Business School (CKGSB, China), which met with the university's leadership to discuss partnership prospects.
The honorary guests were greeted by Deputy Chairman of the Board, First Vice–Rector Yerkin Duissenov, presenting the activities of the research university.
KazNU maintains long-standing and fruitful cooperation with universities and organizations in China. Within the framework of this cooperation, a number of large-scale scientific and educational projects are being implemented, including the Northwestern Polytechnic University (NWPU), the China-Kazakhstan Joint Laboratory for Remote Sensing Technologies and Their Applications, the China-Kazakhstan International Scientific Laboratory for Energy-intensive Nanotechnology, the 5G/5.5G Communication Technologies Laboratory, and others.
At the end of his speech, the First Vice-rector stressed that in the field of business education, KazNU and Cheung Kong Business School have significant potential for implementing joint and promising initiatives and projects.

In response, the Dean of Cheung Kong Business School, Li Haitao, spoke about the activities of CKGSB, which is a member of the Association for the Development of University Schools of Management (AACSB) and the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). The school is headquartered in Beijing, with campuses in Shanghai and Shenzhen, and offices in New York and London. Since its foundation, Zhongyang Business School has consistently followed the mission: "to educate a new generation of world-class business leaders for China and the world, with a global vision and the ability to integrate global resources, combining global values"

The Dean also noted that the main objectives of the visit were to find opportunities to develop joint educational programs, prepare for the opening of Zhongyang Business School programs in the region, and create a platform for graduate companies to enter the Central Asian markets.
The meeting ended with a discussion on the implementation of joint programs and scientific and educational projects.
