The Department of Chinese Studies and Shaanxi University of Science and Technology Established Cooperation

On October 6, 2025, the leadership of the Department of Chinese Studies, Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, held an official meeting with Professor He Lin from Shaanxi University of Science and Technology (China).

During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities for developing cooperation in education and research, implementing joint academic projects, and expanding programs of academic mobility. Professor He Lin shared insights into the innovative and scientific initiatives of Chinese universities and expressed interest in strengthening cultural and academic ties between Kazakhstan and China.

The representatives of the Department of Chinese Studies, in turn, presented the main trends and prospects of Chinese studies in Kazakhstan and proposed ideas for joint research, internships, and faculty exchange programs.

As a result of the meeting, both sides agreed to further develop their partnership and prepare a long-term memorandum of understanding.

This meeting marked an important step toward deepening academic and scientific cooperation between Kazakhstan and China.
