Associate Professors of the Department of International Relations and World Economy at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Adilbek Yermekbayev and Duman Zhekenov, made a business trip to Azerbaijan, which became an important step in strengthening cooperation between the two countries and opened new prospects for joint projects.

During the visit, the faculty members took part in a round table at Baku Eurasian University, organized in cooperation with the STEM Center. In their speeches, they discussed issues of regional cooperation, science, and education, as well as new partnership opportunities between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.

The delegation also participated in a podcast on Azerbaijani television, where the sides discussed key areas of cooperation between the two countries and the role of science and education in strengthening regional ties.

A meaningful meeting was held at the Azerbaijan Multicultural Center, where the participants discussed the importance of cultural dialogue and mutual understanding in developing bilateral relations.

An important stage of the trip was a visit to the Alat International Sea Port, a strategic hub of the Middle Corridor, which plays a key role in shaping the region’s transit potential.

The visit to the Bibi-Heybat Mosque, one of the main sacred sites of Azerbaijan, held special spiritual significance. The tomb of Ukeyma khanum, the great-granddaughter of Prophet Muhammad, is located here. Visiting this holy site became a symbol of respect for shared history, faith, and spirituality that unite the two nations.

The trip combined scientific, cultural, media, and spiritual aspects, clearly demonstrating that cooperation between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan is built on a strong foundation of mutual respect, trust, and a shared commitment to development.
