Students of the Faculty of Journalism and the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University attended the play «Sister» by the prominent Kazakh writer and playwright, laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Dulat Isabekov. The production was staged by director Meiram Khabibullin at the G.Musrepov State Academic Youth Theatre.

The play portrays the life of Kamazhai, a woman who, after losing her mother at an early age, takes full responsibility for her family. Declaring, «My siblings are dearest to me», she sacrifices her personal dreams and happiness for the sake of her brothers. However, as time passes, each sibling goes their own way, leaving Kamazhai alone with her ailing younger brother.

Students in the audience shared that the performance deeply moved them and helped them grasp the true value of family bonds and sibling love.

— «Kamazhai’ s story is a great lesson for us. We realized how important it is to cherish our loved ones and care for one another», said the young viewers.

The actors’ heartfelt performances touched the audience, and the play carried strong educational and moral significance.
