SDG 2: Zero Hunger. "Marker-assisted plant breeding" overview lecture

On October 8, 2025 at the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology an overview lecture on "Marker-assisted plant breeding" was held for the 4th-year students of the “6B05105-Genetics” educational program. The event was held in line with SDG 2: Zero Hunger. The lecture was delivered by A.I. Zhussupova, PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics. The goal of the event was to raise awareness of the development of new approaches in agriculture, including disease diagnosis and identification of genetic traits in plant varieties for breeding plants with new and improved properties through targeted genome editing. ‎
